Your charts should know you were ill.

Go quiet for a few days and we'll ask what happened. Tell us once, and every chart remembers.

What it does

The week you were ill, shaded on every chart. Injury, taper and recovery too.

Silent-gap detectionGo quiet for two or more days and we flag it on your dashboard, with the sessions either side to jog your memory.
Illness hintIf the last session before a gap ran about 8% above your 90-day heart-rate baseline, it says so. A hint, never a diagnosis.
Health logLog illness, injury, taper and recovery with dates and notes.
Review queuePast gaps collect in a queue you can label or dismiss.
Automatic taper and recoveryTen days before and seven days after every confirmed race, added for you.
On every chartShaded bands behind load, fitness and the training comparison.

Severity

Rate how rough it is, once or day by day.

Not every flu is the same flu.

A slider, not a diary1 to 10 when you log it, and a quick check on how rough today is, each day while it lasts.
It moves your scoreMore severe, and longer, takes more off your readiness. After recovery the drag fades over the days it should.
It changes the adviceSevere illness: rest, and what getting better is worth. Milder: easy and short. Injured: that sport comes off the list.

Review queue

Gaps don’t get lost

Past gaps collect in a queue. Label them when you remember what happened, or dismiss them. Races help: a gap right after one is suggested as recovery.

  • Each gap shows the dates and any hint.
  • Label as rest, illness or injury.
  • Dismiss the ones that don’t matter.

Races, handled

Taper and recovery, added for you

Races are handled for you: ten days of taper before, a week of recovery after. Confirm a race and the bands appear on every chart, no logging needed.

  • A taper before every confirmed race, sized to the distance.
  • Race day marked.
  • Recovery after, longer for longer races.

One set of colours

Four bands, one look, everywhere

Illness is red and injury is gold: things that went wrong. Taper and recovery are planned, so they stay grey: hatched for taper, dotted for recovery. The same on the load chart, fitness and fatigue, and the training comparison.

Band coloursThe same on every chart in LankFit
IllnessLogged when you are sick, or when you label a quiet gap as illness.
InjuryLogged when something hurts enough to stop or change training.
TaperAdded for you: the 10 days before every confirmed race.
RecoveryAdded for you: the 7 days after every confirmed race.
LankFit doesn’t diagnose anything. It notices gaps and unusual heart rates, and you decide what they mean. Not medical advice.

In use

The head cold in August

Four quiet days after a threshold run that ran 8% hotter than usual. LankFit flags the gap and mentions the heart rate. You tap Illness.

Six weeks later, the training comparison shows a red illness band where your fitness dipped. You stop wondering whether the block went wrong. It didn’t. You had a cold.
